This two-part workshop combines experiential learning based on reading research and offers practitioners a wealth of relevant reading material selected from The Change Agent magazine. You’ll leave the first workshop with a number of lesson ideas and strategies for teaching reading, and you’ll be supported in developing an action plan to implement your choice of strategies to try out in your classroom. In the second workshop, we’ll hear back from you about how your action plan went—what you learned, what went well, and what you would do differently. We will share more evidenced-based strategies about teaching reading, and you will have more materials to take away with you and try out in the classroom.
